Opengl for chrome mac3/4/2023 ![]() I would look around the Wineskin forum and see if anyone has undertaken this. It's doable, but it looks like you'd need some serious developer chops. I may be wrong on the exact details here, but it's something like this. The reason appears to be because OpenGL 3.x and greater are only available through the NSOpenGL framework, whereas earlier versions of GL were accessed through native libraries. When I issue: $ glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version"įrom the terminal I get: OpenGL version string: 2.1 NVIDIA-10.17.5 355.10.05.45f01Īpparently, to get access to the later versions of OpenGL, you'd need to make some non-trivial modifications to the Wineskin source code and recompile. There might be a path forward by updating XQuartz and changing a "advanced setting".Īnother possible problem is that despite the OS offering OpenGL 4.1, Mac OS will report the GL version to be 2.1 to GL apps that don't explicitly set a couple of flags before opening the window. This post seems to indicate that Wineskin only supports OpenGL 2.0/2.1, as that's the most recent OSX provides directly via the OpenGL APIs. It's giving me an error saying that OpenGL 3.3 isn't supported. OpenGL 4.1 should be supported on your hardware.
